I would like to welcome everyone to my new blog dedicated to industrial roofing. The nature of this blog is to represent a business in an industry built on getting dirty and tough work. The company I am talking about is D.C. Taylor. Dudley Claude Taylor started D.C.T. in 1949 on the single premise that trust in a contractor is invaluable.
He made his living doing tuck pointing and in his words "fixin' up" old buildings all the time. D.C.T. got so good they moved from small town Vinton, IA to Cedar Rapids, IA. Cedar Rapids at the time was about 125,000 population and was full of "fixerupers".
The rest is history. We now have five offices around th nation located in Cedar Rapids, IA, Chicago, IL , Atlanta, GA, Phoenix, AZ and Concord, CA. We have 60 nation wide crews and have developed a reputation for unbeatable safety and craftsmanship. Over the years we have done thousands of roofing projects exceeding a 100 million square feet. during 2000 alone we responded to 2,587 service calls in 38 states and Puerto Rico.
